Hear Men Speak ("we," "us," or "our") is an initiative of Akinboro Media Group LLC, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This policy explains what information we collect through hearmenspeak.com and how we use it. We keep this simple on purpose: we ask for the least information we need, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Information we collect
- Information you submit through our forms. When you contact us, share a story, subscribe to our newsletter, or send a partnership inquiry, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, city, and message).
- Basic technical information. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal information or track you across other sites.
How we use your information
- To respond to your message or inquiry.
- To review and, with your explicit consent, publish stories you submit.
- To send you occasional updates from The Listening Room newsletter, only if you subscribe.
- To improve the site and our storytelling programs.
Storage and service providers
Form submissions and newsletter emails are stored securely in our Lovable Cloud database. We use Resend to deliver transactional emails such as newsletter confirmations. In the future, newsletter subscribers may be synchronized to Beehiiv for delivery of The Listening Room; if that change happens, this policy will be updated first.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or session-replay tools.
- We do not publish any story or identifying detail without the storyteller's explicit consent.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from our newsletter. Email hello@hearmenspeak.com and we will act on your request promptly.
Children
Hear Men Speak is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
